The popular NBC sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is finally close to returning for its final season. A new Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 8 poster was revealed today, and it got B99 fans super excited.
After an exciting season 7 finale, the show has been on sort of hiatus until now. Firstly, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the release of the show. However, that was not the only reason for the delay in any news related to the popular show.
The outrage that filled the streets of the U.S. after the murder of George Floyd played a prominent role as well. After all, it was tough for the writers to come off with an apt script for a comedy show involving police.
One Last Ride – Title Of Your Sex Tape
The new poster churned the title of the poster around a long-running joke in the show. However, that was not the only takeaway from the poster.
If you look closely, you will find that none of the characters are wearing their police badge. In fact, we even see Captain Holt in civilian clothes. Yes, that’s the same captain Holt, who gave Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg) an earful for not wearing a tie back in the pilot episode.
This is a clear indication that the show might focus more on the personal lives of the characters rather than their professional lives at the Nine-Nine.
How Many Episodes Will Be There in Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 8?
Ever since NBC picked up Brooklyn 99 from Fox after season 5, the duration of each season has suffered. But on a positive note, the quality of the show improved.
Following the same pattern, Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 8 will only have 10 episodes. This number is the lowest in the entire run of the series.
At the end of the day, fans will tilt towards quality rather than quantity. We all remember what happens when you rush things, right? Yes, I am talking about the disappointing ending of Game Of Thrones.
